Tongo Reef
A left hander, Tongo Reef was my favorite reef, even though I left some flesh on the reef and took a trip to the local Hospital. The wave has three distinct sections which connect on any decent size South swell. This wave is compared to the legendary left hander in Costa Rica, Pavonnes. It was head high to a couple of feet overhead while we were there. The waves can be super clean, ruler edged with a nice inside barrel. This was one very fun wave! The reef can be be dangerous at low tide.
